Under the mentorship of PMG CSN Shri. Adnan Ahmed, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (CSN) Region, Maharashtra Circle today hosted a grand event as a build up to the upcoming state level Philately exhibition Mahapex 2025 at Mumbai from 22nd to 25th Jan. Shri. Sanjay Shirsat, Hon’ble Minister for Social Justice, Maharashtra was the Chief Guest for the function. Dr. Bhagwat Karad, Hon’ble MP Rajya Sabha was the guest of honour. Shri. Amitabh Singh, CPMG Maharashtra and Goa Circle and Chairperson of Mahapex 2025 was the esteemed special guest.
The event started off with a flag of e bicycle rally from CSN which will take two routes running across the state and reach Mumbai on the inaugural day. The rally will cover various places of religious, historical and social importance and will be an important outreach tool for the Mahapex 2025 and department as a whole.
The high point of the event was the release of 2 sets of postcards on the city of gates Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) which covers 18 historical gates of the city. One set includes the paintings of the gates and the other pencil sketches.
Other releases included Bulletin II of Mahapex 2025 and an e Patrika recognizing the employees of the region who have made special and significant contributions.
The event was well received by a packed auditorium and the press. The tone is now set for the exhibition! Some glimpses of the function are being shared below.
Day 2: Dak Seva e-Bicycle Expedition - 04.01.2025

- Visited Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib and took blessings from Shri Laddu Singhji Mahajan, Former Chairman Gurudwara Committee, Nanded.
- The Dak Seva e-bicycle Expedition began with an exhilarating ride to Mahurgad, where the MAHAPEX-2025 flag was officially handed over to the Trustee of Mahur Gad Sansthan, along with Shri V.N. Kulkarni, ASP HQ, and Shri Madhav Baraskar IP, Nanded Dn.
- Riders enjoyed the challenge of Mahurgad’s 3 km ghat, seamlessly navigating the steep terrain. The team then visited the Mahurgad Museum, delving into the region’s rich history and culture. An engaging DAK Chaupal session followed, facilitating the exchange of innovative ideas among participants.
- The day’s highlight was a Cycle Rally, flagged off by Shri Pathak Sir, ADPS RO, CSN, which promoted sustainable practices and celebrated environmental consciousness.
- The team also visited Hadgaon SO under the Nanded Division to raise awareness about Mahapex-2025 and handed over the flag for further promotion. The day concluded with the team’s safe arrival in Nanded.

- Today (03.01.2025) on the grand occasion of Mahapex 2025, an inspiring e-bicycle expedition was ceremoniously flagged off by Ms. Vasundhara Gulhane, DPS Nagpur Region, from the historic Bapu Kuti, Sewagram Ashram, Wardha.
- This momentous event coincides with the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule, a trailblazer in social reform and women’s education, adding a deeper significance to the celebration.
- The expedition will journey to the Gateway of India, Mumbai, symbolizing a commitment to sustainability and innovation, while showcasing the spirit of progress and environmental responsibility.
- A special shoutout to SP Yavatmal, Shri Jadhao, for his proactive leadership and innovative efforts in making this event a resounding success.
- Heartfelt gratitude to Shri Amitabh Sir, CPMG Maharashtra, and his dedicated team for their visionary guidance and unwavering support in bringing this unique activity to life. Let’s cheer for this remarkable journey and the message it carries!

A formal informative Press Conference of MAHAPEX 2025 was organised at the iconic heritage Mumbai GPO today.
It was chaired by Shri Amitabh Singh sir, CPMG Maharashtra Circle. Shri Ramchandra Jaybhaye (PMG Pune region), Smt Sucheeta Joshi (PMG Navi Mumbai region) also graced the occasion.
Around 30+ representatives of press media from Mumbai area who were briefed on various initiatives and events organised at 4-days MahaPEX exhibition from its inaugural ceremony on 22/01/2025 till its final awards ceremony on 25/01/2025 including eCycle rallies for promotions in Q&A session with reporters.
